Director of Research Partnerships and Development, MQ Mental Health Research
Emily is Director of Research Partnerships & Development at MQ Mental Health Research, where she oversees organisational partnerships to ensure they reach greatest impact. She has developed MQ's programme of collaborative project delivery with academics across the globe, third and public sector organisations as well as working closely with philanthropists, foundations and corporates to maximise their support and impact. As someone with lived experience of health conditions, She also shares her story openly to challenge stigma and inform research, including in MQ’s recently published book, Your Mental Health, combining the latest research insights with real life experiences. She is also a Trustee of New Philanthropy Capital (NPC) the think tank and consultancy for the charity sector, philanthropists, impact investors, social enterprises, corporates and the public sector to maximise social impact. She provides support for other brilliant organisations through her position on multiple advisory boards across health and social research, including the Migraine Trust's Involvement Panel, the NIHR Impact Advisory Board, the Being Initiative’s Scientific and Strategy Advisory Board and Friendship Bench’s London pilot study advisory board. Until mid-2022, she was also Chair of Nightline Association, the umbrella organisation that supports Nightlines, peer-to-peer listening support services, available to 1.6million higher education students across the UK.
