The role of informatics in mainstreaming genomics in the NHS

The NHS is uniquely positioned to capitalise on the potential of personalised medicine through its existing genomic laboratory infrastructure. However, there remains a gap in the understanding of the role of informatics to mainstream genomics into daily clinical practice. Through the use case of pharmacogenomics, this talk will highlight how user-centred design helps to establish the functional requirements and technical specifications to implement personalised medicine in the NHS.
