MEET THE ADVISORY BOARD: PART ONE
The Digital Healthcare Show is proud to be supported by an expert advisory board, representative of all members of the multi-disciplinary team, who support the development of the programme and speaker faculty. We have invited some of the most senior and innovative leaders transforming the patient pathway in digital healthcare today to join this committee, ensuring we can deliver true value to all our attendees and partners.
Our advisory board is already helping us to refine the direction of the event and agenda, as well as sharing insights into how we can build out our community. We hope our advisory board will be the cornerstone of our community, and that we can work with our members to make sure that we are delivering true value to all our attendees and partners.
Here’s our first round of introductions to the Digital Healthcare Show Advisory Board 2024…
Avi Mehra, Associate Partner & Clinical Safety Lead | Healthcare & Life Sciences, IBM
A medical doctor by background, Avi is an Associate Partner and Clinical Safety Lead for Healthcare and Life Sciences at IBM. He is also the Co-Founder of Doctorpreneurs, a non-profit organisation and global community for medical innovators and entrepreneurs, a Fellow at the World Economic Forum, a Fellow at The Faculty of Clinical Informatics, and a Digital Health Advisor. Avi is an experienced healthcare leader and director, and expert in digital health. He has broad experience working at the intersection of clinical, commercial and technology fields across international healthcare systems. He has specialist expertise in Artificial Intelligence adoption in Healthcare, and previously served as the Global Clinical Adoption Leader at IBM Watson Health.
Rebecca Tinker, Chief Digital and Information Officer (interim), Digital, Data and Technology Services, NHS Blood and Transplant
Rebecca Tinker is a highly experienced Project Manager with over 15 years of experience delivering large and complex programmes across multiple disciplines and industries – both in the UK and international markets – with a proven track record of translating strategy into deliverable plans and building high-performing teams to land and sustain long-term change. An insightful transformation expert and intuitive leader, Rebecca excels in bringing order to chaos and establishing effective governance for growth and efficiency.
Rebecca has spent the majority of her career in strategy and transformation roles in the private sector, working with global brands in retail and leisure sectors to transform customer and colleague experience, enhance end to end services and drive growth. Rebecca is passionate about collaboration and putting people at the heart of all change, believing that understanding people, their experiences and their context is critical to driving digital transformation that is accessible, inclusive and empowering.
James Davis, CEO & Founder, Inicio
James has over 15 years’ experience in innovative solutions-based IT roles in both the private and public sector. With a focus on health and social care, he has vast experience of leading multi-disciplinary teams nationally. He has extensive experience leading multi-disciplinary teams on a national level and was instrumental in establishing the Innovation and Digital Board for North and East London CSU in 2018.
James is a champion of innovation throughout the NHS, having previously built and led a team at the Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust to deliver innovative solutions to over 70 NHS Trusts, winning multiple awards. He excels at developing clear strategic responses to organizational needs and aligning them with desired outcomes. His passion for improving outcomes and efficiency through innovation has an enormous impact on NHS patients and wider society.
James is adept at building relationships and fostering collaborative working environments with vendors and staff, having most recently led innovation as Chief Innovation Officer at The Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust, now CEO for inico health, possesses a detailed understanding of technical architecture and financial planning, in addition to his strong technical skills.
Satnam Bains, Founder, Health Fabric
Satnam Bains is the founder and CEO of Health Fabric whose career has spanned multiple consultancies including IBM and advisory roles such as a former member on the WHO Digital Health Technical Advisory Group’s Roster of Experts.
Satnam has spent many years enabling digital self-management and self-care, co-creating digital solutions with Patients, Clinicians , Carers, GP's, Family groups and Patient advocate groups. Satnam's extensive experience enabling digital self-management and self-care, coupled with his dedication to inclusivity, positions him as a thought leader in the evolving digital healthcare system. As the Founder of Health Fabric, he has been at the forefront of co-creating solutions that bridge gaps and reduce health inequalities.
Satnam has led the evolution of the Health Fabric platform over the last 10 years to the current UNITY platform that enables self-care using digital health technologies, embracing digital inclusion, and reducing health inequalities.
Amanda Begley, Exec Director of Digital Transformation, Health Innovation Network
Amanda joined the Health Innovation Network as interim Executive Director of Digital Transformation on secondment from Guy’s and St Thomas NHS Foundation Trust. She has over 20 years’ experience as senior leader in digital, data and innovation within UK healthcare. Amanda’s focus is on building partnerships and expertise to deliver innovation at scale and pace for patient, staff and population benefit.
Her previous roles include Director of Innovation and Implementation at UCLPartners; co-founder of and National Director for the NHS Innovation Accelerator (NIA); co-founder and Director of Strategy and Partnerships for the Health Research Data UK Hub for Cancer; Head of Innovation at NHS London; and senior management roles at Kingston Hospital and Croydon PCT.
