MEET THE ADVISORY BOARD: PART TWO

Digital Healthcare Show is proud to be supported by an expert advisory board who support the development of the programme and speaker faculty. We have invited some of the most senior and innovative leaders transforming digital healthcare today to join this committee, ensuring we can deliver true value to all our attendees and partners.

Our advisory board is already helping us to refine the direction of the event and agenda, as well as sharing insights into how we can build out our community. We hope our advisory board will be the cornerstone of our community, and that we can work with our members to make sure that we are delivering true value to all our attendees and partners.

Here’s our second round of introductions to the Digital Healthcare Show Advisory Board 2024…

 

Tim Ringrose

Tim Ringrose

Tim Ringrose trained as a nephrologist and intensive care doctor in Oxford before founding Cognitant in 2018 with the sole purpose of using technology to provide trustworthy, personalised, accessible health information to patients. With a background in nephrology and intensive care medicine, Tim is motivated by empowering people to self-manage their health, gaining a better understanding of their treatment to ensure the correct support is in place.

Prior to co-founding Cognitant Group, a leading patient engagement and content company, Dr Ringrose was CEO of Doctors.net.uk and M3 (EU). He was also president of the Digital Health Council at the Royal Society of Medicine from 2021-2023, and is a non-executive director and adviser for several other health technology companies.

 

Gurnak Singh Dosanjh

Gurnak

Gurnak is an NHS General Practitioner and is passionate about digital innovation and reducing health inequalities. He is highly experienced in the transformation of clinical pathways, having been involved in numerous projects around the UK. These have included digital pathways for long term conditions management, virtual wards, deterioration detection in individuals with Learning Disabilities and Proactive Care at Home. He is currently the LLR Clinical Lead for Home First and Urgent & Emergency Care.

Gurnak is keen to promote digital transformation whilst ensuring that innovation does not widen health inequalities. He is a keen advocate of patient empowerment and ensuring that patients remain at the very centre of any innovation and transformation.

 

Victoria Murtagh

Victoria

Victoria Murtagh has been Head of Global Healthcare Transformation at Bupa since early 2023. Since taking on this key strategic role, she has been leading teams to achieve tangible success in seemingly far-reaching future-facing goals through practical steps, driving global change in line with organisational vision. In the role she has built on her experience in strategic cross category procurement management serving professional services, medical, IT & FM procurement.

With Bupa’s mission to become the world’s most customer-centric healthcare company, Victoria’s work leverages digital to meet this aim, including sustainability’s role in digital transformation, tangible AI applications, leveraging patient data, and how to meet patient’s digital expectations.

 

David Sgorbati 

David

David Sgorbati is an experienced computer scientist who has worked for several national, regional, ICS and provider teams in the NHS, contributing to the deployment of machine-learning techniques to improve patient care. Leaving the NHS in 2022, David became Chief Analyst for the Health Economics Unit.

In the first 10 years of his career, David worked for several machine learning, artificial intelligence and robotics start-ups, developing software for clients in a wide range of industries, including manufacturing, logistics, and marketing. Since joining the NHS in 2014, his focus has been on using advanced analytics techniques to support problem-solving across organisational boundaries; he is passionate about the use of data as a tool to foster better conversations and to generate actionable insights.

 

Clive Flashman

Clive Flashman

Clive Flashman has a portfolio of roles including running his own consulting practice, Director of Strategy at ORCHA, and Chief Digital Officer for Patient Safety Learning.

Clive was one of the first onto the world wide web in 1995 running a forum within Compuserve. He was one of the leading innovators of Knowledge Management in the UK at the start of the dotcom boom and published in a range of journals at the time. He then re-entered the NHS where he set up a national Knowledge System for patient safety, facilitated a WHO committee, chaired a global HL7 Special Interest Group and sat on the NHS Information Standards Board and NHS National Knowledge Service.

He was President of the Digital Health Council for the Royal Society of Medicine, and has lectured and mentored at a number of Universities. He is currently visiting lecturer in Digital Health at the University of Cumbria and mentors on the NHS England Clinical Entrepreneurship Programme.

Clive has a variety of clients, spanning the health, care and charity sectors. He provides digital strategy consultancy support, and innovative thinking about the use of technology enabled care. He works with organisations that range from startups to multi-million pound listed companies, providing expert input generally at the C-suite level. Highly numerate, he is a qualified Chartered Accountant and PMI-certified Project Manager.
