Gurnak is an NHS General Practitioner and is passionate about digital innovation and reducing health inequalities. He is highly experienced in the transformation of clinical pathways, having been involved in numerous projects around the UK. These have included digital pathways for long term conditions management, virtual wards, deterioration detection in individuals with Learning Disabilities and Proactive Care at Home. He is currently the LLR Clinical Lead for Home First and Urgent & Emergency Care.
Gurnak is keen to promote digital transformation whilst ensuring that innovation does not widen health inequalities. He is a keen advocate of patient empowerment and ensuring that patients remain at the very centre of any innovation and transformation.
