Piers is the Chief Executive of Health Innovation East (formerly the Academic Health Science Network for the East of England), where he leads a team of 60 clinicians, data scientists, programme managers and life scientists to support the NHS to adopt innovative technologies and care pathways. Piers spent the majority of his earlier career at KPMG, where he was a Partner and led the firm's healthcare management consulting practice. He is a regular speaker at health and life sciences conferences and on university post-graduate courses in healthcare and business.
